This gala is the Hospital’s largest fundraiser, and recognizes the efforts of individuals and corporations that have made significant contributions to Blythedale. This year, we are proud to honor Kenny Dichter & Gary Spitalnik of Wheels Up, and Kristina Wozniak Leitenberger & Lori Spada Lynch of Artistry Dance Project. Special guest speakers include The Saltzman Family. Master of ceremonies will be Bruce Beck, Lead Sports Anchor of NBC 4 New York.
Proceeds from this year's gala will support Blythedale's Brain Injury Treatment Program. Treatment and recovery at Blythedale takes on special prominence with our Traumatic Brain Injury Unit; the only dedicated post-acute pediatric brain injury unit in New York State. Blythedale is a longtime leader in the treatment of children recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), brain tumors, stroke and more. Our 10 private, light and sound-controlled rooms were specifically designed to meet the highly unique needs of brain-injured children and adolescents as they emerge from coma. Our expertly trained clinical team and specialized treatment protocols are widely acclaimed, and we are able to admit children earlier in the recovery phase to ensure optimal healing. Despite significant medical conditions, nearly all of our children are able to return to their families and communities.
Last year, 300 supporters attended this special evening, and raised more than $800,000 for the Hospital's Tiny Miracle's program. Learn more about last year's gala here. Click here to view an album from last year's event.
