On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Blythedale Children's Hospital will hold its 7th Annual 5K Run/Walk, headed by our title sponsor, Artistry Dance Project, at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY, between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This event is the spring fundraiser of the Blythedale Advisory Council, providing an opportunity for people to come together to help children manage significant health conditions and their families.
How does this work? This in-person event will take place at Horace Greeley High School’s Competition Field with a virtual component. Sponsors, participants, and donors register online, and set up a solo or team page. On the day of the event, in-person participants can join us at Horace Greeley High School between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM for a family fun day. There will be food vendors, activities for the kids, and a dance performance from our title sponsor, Artistry Dance Project’s Elite Company Dancers. All participants are encouraged to reach out to friends and colleagues to visit their page, sign up to participate and/or make a donation.
Can’t be there in person but still want to join in the fun? No problem! For those who wish to participate virtually, please indicate at registration. To participate virtually, we recommend using a fitness app to record your 5K. Don’t forget to send us a photo in your Blythedale t-shirt to tfavata@blythedale.org with the subject line: BAC Virtual 5K. Keep an eye out for the BAC's e-blast with post-event wrap up!
Thank you to our Title Sponsor:

Proceeds from the event will support our Parent and Family Education program. Blythedale offers tailored education and training so families can feel comfortable taking their child home. If a child relies on medical technology, such as a ventilator, our staff engages caregivers in a thorough program of education - beginning on day one - so they become confident and adept in all aspects of equipment use, from general operations to cleaning and maintenance. Our innovative education program divides what initially seems like an overwhelming learning curve into tiny steps. From babies and children with lung, heart or neurological conditions, genetic or physical anomalies, from the preemie who has never been home to the child who has suffered an accident or medical crisis, Blythedale brings together multiple disciplines and specialties to teach parents to become caregivers so their kids can come home and heal supported by their family and community.
The 7th Annual 5K Run/Walk is organized by the Blythedale Advisory Council (BAC). The BAC is comprised of young professionals who are committed to Blythedale’s mission and want to make a difference in the lives of children with complex medical conditions.
