Acrisure Fall Golf Classic Raises More Than $282,000 for Blythedale

More than 130 golfers participated in the Fall Golf Classic on September 26 at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY.

This year, the Golf Classic for Blythedale celebrated its 28th year, with the successful annual event raising more than $4.25 million over the years for crucial programs at Blythedale Children’s Hospital.

This long-standing fundraiser for the Hospital dates back to 1996 and has grown significantly since longtime Blythedale supporter Carmine Lippolis took on the role of event chair nearly 20 years ago. This year's golf committee included Isabella Autorino, Lou Baldessarre, John Cofini, Paul Sohigian and Brian Vieselmeyer.

BNC Insurance generously sponsored the event for the last five years, and when the firm merged with Acrisure this year, the event was renamed the Acrisure Fall Golf Classic. Brian Colby, Managing Partner for the Acrisure-NY region, stated that although the name of the event had changed, Acrisure's commitment to Blythedale did not.

"In fact, this year, we've increased our commitment to the event and are contributing $45,000 to Blythedale," Colby told guests during the evening program.

Golfers and sponsors helped bring in almost $283,000 for the Hospital's unique Day Hospital, which provides multidisciplinary care and education to children who are well enough to live at home, but still require a high level of medical care that isn't otherwise provided in their school or community.

"This is such an extraordinary event," said Blythedale President and CEO Larry Levine. "We are deeply grateful to our dear friend, Carmine Lippolis, who has been tireless in his support of Blythedale over the last two decades. His love and compassion for our patients and their families has generated millions for specialized programs to improve their lives."

During the evening program, attendees heard from Rahul Krishnan, a patient who was admitted to Blythedale in 2022 after a traumatic brain injury due to a motorcycle accident. Rahul's story of recovery highlighted the exceptional care he received at the Hospital and how his transition back to his community enabled him to graduate with his peers this past June.
