Susan Murray, LCSW, is the Vice President, Patient/Family Experience, Clinical Outreach, and Care Coordination at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. She graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Neuroscience with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in Government. She holds a Master of Social Work Degree from the Hunter College School of Social Work, where she majored in Casework and was the recipient of the Goldfein Award for academic excellence. Ms. Murray joined the Social Work department at Blythedale in 1996, and was the recipient of the 2013 Circle Of Excellence award for Advocacy.

In her current role, she oversees the Social Work, Admissions, and Care Coordination programs, including Blythedale’s Health Home Care Management division. Ms. Murray coordinates the Hospital’s engagement with both referring hospitals and insurance companies, and is responsible for Blythedale’s Patient Experience program. 

She says, “By keeping lines of communication open, we are able to provide a customized experience for each child and family. Our goal is to support the entire family during a child’s stay at Blythedale.”
