Diane Carey, RN, MSN, CPN

Clinical Nurse Educator

Diane Carey, RN, MSN, CPN, is Clinical Nurse Educator at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. She is a certified pediatric nurse, with additional certifications in B.L.S. and as a P.E.A.R.S. instructor.

Ms. Carey comes to the Hospital after a long career in the Philadelphia area, working in both the nursing and education fields. She has nearly 30 years of experience at a children’s hospital in that region with almost half her time in a leadership role with responsibilities including orientation, preceptor, charge nurse, mock codes, skills fairs, B.L.S. floor champion, change agent, and resource nurse.

Ms. Carey also continues to teach as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for Holy Family University and Gwynedd Mercy University at local hospitals. She previously taught Anatomy and Physiology, and Maternal Child Health (didactic classes), as well as Clinical Instruction at Prism Career Institute for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Ms. Carey received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with Nursing Education Focus, both from Immaculata University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nurses Honor Society.
