Patients & Families

We know that your child’s hospitalization is a major life change and we are committed to supporting you throughout your child’s stay at the Hospital. At Blythedale, we believe parents and families are vital members of each child’s treatment team. By working together, we help your child achieve their maximum potential, meet treatment objectives and return home to your family and community. To learn more about Blythedale and our commitment to patients, please read our Patient Family Brochure (en Español aquí).

In this section, you will find additional resources as you prepare to make the transition to Blythedale with your child. For your information, you may review the New York State Patients' Bill of Rights, strategies for preparing yourself and your child for staying at the Hospital, information about parent/caregiver training, hospital amenities available to you, resources in the nearby area, and directions and transportation information.

We are here to help your child and make your experience as positive as possible. If you have any questions - before you come to the Hospital, while you are here, or even after you’ve headed home with your child - you can always ask a member of your child’s treatment team.
