Honoree

Kristina Wozniak Leitenberger
Founder and Artistic Director,
Artistry Dance Project

Kristina is a founder and artistic director at Artistry Dance Project. Kristina has over 26 years of professional dance and teaching experience across North America, Europe and Asia.

In 2013, at the age of 24, she started Artistry Dance Project, a two-time Best of Westchester Winner that currently has more than 250 students, 15 staff members and occupies over 6000 sq. ft. of studio space in Pleasantville, NY.  Kristina manages day-to-day business operations, organizing performances, fundraisers, competitions, marketing and schedules, all while teaching over 20 hours per week.

As a lifelong performer, choreographer and educator, Kristina exhibits a wealth of knowledge about the art of dance. The positive fundamentals she herself found through her own dance training, such as time management, commitment, teamwork and discipline, influenced and shaped her in and out of the studio. Kristina’s mission is to pass that knowledge and confidence, along with her passion for the art form, on to her students.

Over the course of her career, Kristina’s choreography has been performed at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade, and has won numerous awards across the country.  As an eighth-grader, Kristina choreographed a show that toured local venues, including Blythedale. She fell in love with the ability to make a child smile doing something she loved. Now, years later, she is carrying on the tradition, still choreographing shows to benefit the hospital each holiday season.

Beyond the thrill of seeing her dancers grow in the studio and on stage, Kristina is humbled by the growth she has seen in her students, year after year. Whether small or grand gestures, the desire to give back has exponentially grown throughout the ADP Family every season. Kristina is in awe of the entire Blythedale staff and is eternally grateful for this incredible honor and looks forward to a continuing their relationship for years to come.

About Artistry Dance Project

Artistry Dance Project (ADP), Westchester’s premier dance studio located in Pleasantville, NY, is devoted to providing young dancers a first-class dance experience full of excitement, imagination and creativity. ADP continues to strive for excellence with a faculty of incredible NYC based professionals with credits including Broadway, National Tours, the Metropolitan Opera and more. An advocate and supporter of Blythedale and the children they serve, ADP has hosted an annual holiday fundraising event each year since 2015 to benefit the hospital.

Encouraging students to harness their drive, creativity and community, ADP has helped raise funds for a variety of Blythedale services and programs. ADP’s dancers are encouraged and inspired each day to develop teamwork, confidence, leadership and discipline. Their dance training is coupled with the foundational aspects of charity in hopes that one day they can build a better tomorrow for their community.
