On Friday, December 14, Scott Shannon in the Morning and the Big Show on WCBS-FM 101.1 will broadcast their final show of 2018 live from Blythedale. The star-studded program will include live performances by Matchbox Twenty’s lead singer Rob Thomas (back for his 19th consecutive appearance), Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw, Billy Joel’s longtime saxophonist Mark Rivera, Acapella Group Six13, Tim McLoone & Holiday Express, Santa, and special guest Dr. Elmo who sings the classic “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer!”
Scott Shannon has been a longtime supporter both professionally & personally of Blythedale’s mission and has helped raise more than $4 million through his radio benefits over the past 25 years. Money raised from this year’s broadcast will support Blythedale's Tiny Miracles Program, which provides care and treatment to the Hospital’s smallest and most fragile babies.
“This is always everyone’s favorite day of the year at Blythedale,” said Blythedale President & CEO Larry Levine. “We are so grateful to Scott Shannon, WCBS-FM and Entercom, as well as all of the artists who give so generously of their time and talents to make the holidays special for the children and their families here at the hospital.”
The show will be broadcast live on WCBS-FM 101.1 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. You may also tune in to radio.com (via app or online) the day of, or live stream the show via WCBS-FM's Facebook page.
