Graduate Medical Education
Blythedale’s Graduate Medical Education program attracts graduates from leading medical schools for competitive residency rotations in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry), Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Neurology, Adolescent Medicine, Child Psychiatry and Developmental Medicine. Our clinical expertise in caring for medically fragile children provides medical trainees with opportunities to interact with children that they will never forget. Because many of our patients have rare and complex conditions, residents gain valuable diagnostic experience that will become an asset to their professional practice. Above all else, interacting with Blythedale’s patients and their families instills in resident physicians a deep sense of empathy and particular bedside manner in communication with those affected by serious illness or injury.
In partnership with major academic medical centers, Blythedale also offers fellowship opportunities to physicians who are specializing in areas where Blythedale excels including Neonatology and Pediatric Pulmonology. These fellowships, generally only available at the largest academic medical centers, provide physician specialists with a training experience not possible at a typical children’s hospital.
