Keith Llewellyn, R.R.T., is Director of Respiratory Care Services at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Prior to his recent appointment, he served two years as the Assistant Director and Clinical Educator for Respiratory Care at the Hospital. During that time, Mr. Llewellyn improved the level of education and clinical skills and abilities of Blythedale’s respiratory therapy and registered nursing staff, as well as patient families. He is a key member of the MOCK CODE and Emergency Simulation Lab Program, as well as being involved in the emergency management strategy and planning initiatives at Blythedale with partnering facilities and the New York State Department of Health.
Prior to coming to Blythedale, Mr. Llewellyn’s work experience includes serving as supervisor to 42 respiratory therapists at a healthcare organization in the Bronx.
He has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences in Respiratory Therapy from the Borough of Manhattan Community College/CUNY, Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Administration from New York College of Technology/CUNY and his MPA Graduate Degree in Emergency/Disaster Management from Metropolitan College of New York.
