Jade Almendrala was appointed director of Respiratory Therapy at Blythedale Children's Hospital in 2023. An experienced respiratory therapist and creative leader, Jade has 12 years of impactful experience in adult, pediatric, critical care, and sub-acute health care settings. Jade earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Walden University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from SUNY College at Old Westbury, and an Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from Concorde College.
Jade works closely with Blythedale's multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure that departments are integrated successfully. He is committed to providing safe quality care by staying current on industry trends and modern practices, resulting in exceptional patient outcomes. His hunger for innovation and excellence strategically offers solutions that drive mission-critical results despite any doubts or obstacles encountered along the way.
In recognition of his efforts and dedication to the field of respiratory therapy, he has received several awards and lectured at various clinical events, including a presentation on his research on Prone Ventilation in the ICU at the Critical Care Symposium at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also co-organized the Pediatric Respiratory Care Symposium at Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center in 2018 and 2019.
