Emily Hersh, EdD

Emily Hersh, EdD, is Superintendent of the Mt. Pleasant Blythedale School District at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Ms. Hersh, after serving the district for more than 16 years, was appointed to her current role by the Mt. Pleasant Blythedale Board of Education in 2016.  As Superintendent she has enhanced collaboration with related service providers, department heads, and administration of Blythedale Children’s Hospital while sustaining and promoting compliance of New York State curriculum and district policies to ensure education at Mt. Pleasant-Blythedale School District is parallel with other state public schools. 

Her mission has been to ensure equal access to a public school education program for all children who are Hospital patients. 

Dr. Hersh received her Administrative Degree from New Paltz College and Ed.D from Manhattanville College.
