Virtual Event Information
The Blythedale Virtual 5K Run/Walk/Bike is being organized by the Blythedale Advisory Council, and our Title Sponsor, Insight Partners! The BAC is made up of young professionals who are committed to Blythedale’s mission and want to make a difference in the lives of children with complex medical conditions. Click here to learn more about the BAC.
Proceeds from the event will support the Hospital's Parent and Family Education Program. Blythedale offers tailored education and training so families can feel confident and competent in bringing their medically complex child home. If a child relies on complex medical technology, such as a ventilator, our staff engages caregivers in a thorough program of education - beginning on day one - so they become adept in all aspects of equipment use. Our innovative education program divides what initially seems like an overwhelming learning curve into tiny steps. From the preemie who has never been home, to the child who has suffered an accident or medical crisis, Blythedale brings together multiple disciplines and specialties to teach parents to become caregivers so their kids can come home and heal supported by their family and community.
We are so grateful for your support!
