Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department at Blythedale Children’s Hospital provides services to inpatients and Day Hospital patients. Therapists evaluate, treat and care for children with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Services include evaluation, treatment and consultation in areas including:

• Pulmonary rehabilitation,
• Nebulizer treatment,
• Parent training, and
• Ventilator management

Blythedale’s Respiratory Care Department was recently awarded “Quality Respiratory Care Recognition” from the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) for the fifth time. Less than 10% of all hospitals in the country have applied for and have been a recipient of this award.
