Ways to Support Blythedale

Planned Gifts

A Lasting Legacy for Blythedale
You can create a legacy of hope for our young patients for years to come, simply by including Blythedale Children’s Hospital in your estate planning. For example, your commitment to our patients can be in the form of a bequest in your will, or designating Blythedale as a beneficiary of a retirement plan.  Anyone can make an impact through one of our many types of planned gifts. For additional information, please click here to view our Planned Gift Opportunities brochure.

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please call Chief Development Officer Jane MacDonald at (914) 831-2544 or email her at

1891 Society
When you make a legacy gift to Blythedale, you will be enrolled in The 1891 Society. This exclusive group of donors follows directly in the tradition of generosity and compassion that began in 1891 when a group of charitable women created programs to improve the health of children, and created the beginnings of Blythedale as we know it today. The 1891 Society includes individuals who have made their intentions to leave a legacy gift to the Hospital known, as well as deceased members of our community who included the children of Blythedale in their estate planning
