Scott & Todd Live from Blythedale

11/20/2011
It's that time of year again!

WPLJ’s syndicated morning show, "Scott and Todd in the Morning”, will broadcast its final show of the year for the 20th-straight year from the gymnasium named in their honor at Blythedale on Wednesday, December 21.

D.J.s Scott Shannon and Todd Pettengill, along with the rest of the morning show will be on hand bright and early, welcoming Blythedale’s patients when the show kicks off at 6:00 a.m.
Rob Thomas will return for the 12-straight year and will be joined by The Fray, Matt Nathanason, and Gavin DeGraw, along with perennial favorites Holiday Express and ‘PLJ’s own house band, The Snowballs.

"WPLJ's Annual Holiday Spectacular has become a wonderful tradition here at Blythedale and is always a memorable event for the children as well as their families, and our staff,” said Larry Levine, President of Blythedale Children’s Hospital. "This year takes on special significance as it will be the 20th holiday benefit they have hosted on our behalf. To date they have raised nearly $4 million for Blythedale, as well as a level of awareness around our hospital and services that simply can't be quantified. We are deeply grateful for their continued support and unwavering commitment to our children.”

The event has raised nearly $4 million for Blythedale, since its inception 20 years ago. The broadcast will include an on-air "rock 'n roll" auction to benefit the Hospital, which includes items up for grabs such as lunch with Rob Thomas, six tickets to watch a Yankee game from the general manager's suite, four VIP tickets to Dr. Oz (which includes a meet and greet), and a Lady Antebellum experience at Radio City Music Hall. Followers of Blythedale on Twitter and Facebook will receive up-to-the-minute updates on their favorite auction items the morning of the broadcast. In addition, there are plenty of items currently available to benefit Blythedale on Ebay. Click here to visit WPLJ's website, and access detailed information on the auction!
Don't forget to tune in starting at 6:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 21!
