IRA Charitable Rollover is Back!
Blythedale Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce the return of the IRA charitable rollover. This special provision, which was available in 2011, has been reinstated by Congress for 2012. Eligible donors may give up to a certain amount directly from their IRAs to Blythedale without having to pay income taxes on the money.
If you make a donation by February 1, 2013, it will be counted for the 2012 tax year by the IRS. If you took a distribution from your IRA in December of 2012 you may give all or part of that distribution to Blythedale as a charitable donation before February 1, 2013 and qualify for the 2012 tax deduction.
"We are thrilled to be able to offer this unique opportunity once again to allow our donors an additional way to make a difference in the lives of our young patients,” said Jane MacDonald, Blythedale’s Chief Development Officer.
If you have any questions, or are interested in making a charitable distribution from your IRA before February 1, 2013, please contact Carey Dalton at 914-831-2513 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
