Sterling Cellars Hosts Wine Tasting for BCH, 2/6

VALHALLA, NY (January 2010) – Sterling Cellars in Mahopac, NY will host a premium wine tasting event on Saturday February 6, 2010 to benefit Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Featuring wines from the top five U.S Importers, the event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at their store located in the Mahopac Village Center. “We are honored to join with Blythedale Children’s Hospital in hosting this event in support of the fine work they do,” said Steve Morrison, President of Sterling Cellars.

There is a suggested donation of $20 per person for the tasting which will be collected upon entry for Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Those individuals making a donation will be given a glass to be used in tasting the variety of wines offered at the event.  In addition, donors will receive a coupon providing a $20 savings on the first $100 purchase of wines on hand at the tasting. Sterling Cellars will also donate a portion of the proceeds from wine sales to Blythedale Children’s Hospital. During the event, Gino’s Trattoria (of Mahopac) will be offering samples of their fine cuisine.

“We are so grateful to Sterling Cellars for holding this event. It is because of ongoing support from businesses and members of the surrounding community that we are able to do so much for the children at Blythedale” said Betsy Bowman, Chief Development Officer for Blythedale Children’s Hospital.

Donations from the event will be directed toward Blythedale’s Journey of Hope Campaign. Blythedale Children’s Hospital is currently constructing a new 55,760- square-foot inpatient building that will feature an expanded infant and toddler unit as well as dedicated units for specialized care and treatment of traumatic brain injuries and adolescent patients. The new building is scheduled to be completed in fall 2011.
